Introducing Portfolio Furniture

My passion for furniture design peaked in 1979 with my degree show at the Glasgow School of Art. At that time, employment in the furniture industry was scarce, and a shift to Interior Design felt inevitable.

After a successful 40 years in consultancy, I now have a chance to rekindle my passion and to revisit the skill that kick started my career.

The resulting range of furniture, directly influenced by my work back then, is now available to order, and constructed by an incredibly talented maker in Wales.

In walnut or oak, these pieces have a sculptural, contemporary and practical character – the weight and quality of the range is rare, all constructed in solid, sustainably sourced timber.

The range is priced between £1,400 and £4,500, reflecting the quality of the materials and construction, each piece having a longevity epitomised by the first prototype which is 45 years old and ageing beautifully.

Four of the eight pieces have been made to date, with an ambition to complete the range in the coming months.
