Opening a Pop-up shop is a hit and miss affair: location, timing and costs all have a part to play in the success or failure of the venture.

Today is the last day of our ten-day experiential Pop-up in Primrose Hill, North London. Experiential because we're not only showing art in a gallery format, but including furniture and objects from the collection, and importantly, using the time to design the next generation of pieces for Autumn '25. An interesting 'layered' approach to the space.

And of course, the mood is critical; the right scented candle, the right mellow jazz soundtrack, the right reference books to introduce our stylistic influences – every detail is considered.

Sales have been steady, though hampered slightly by the Holiday Season timing – North London can be quiet at this time of year. Saying that, we've met many interesting visitors, some with an ambition to commission furniture, which is so encouraging. Watch this space for more details in the near future.

Is a Pop-up more productive than an Art Fair? We can't tell yet, but let's keep the question open.
